Holidays of 2011

We had a great Christmas holiday! Christmas day was a great day, full of gift opening, excited kids, church & dinner with friends. The next morning (26th) we woke up early to travel to Georgia for the week. It was fun to spend time with Aaron's family and no one was even sick! (That doesn't happen very often.)

Olivia talked about finally pulling out her front tooth on Christmas Eve for a week or two. But when it came down to it, she was super scared. Luckily her daddy can be quick with things like this and so she got visited by the Tooth Fairly on Christmas Eve.

Haylee trying on her new sock monkey hat from our dear neighbors. She loves it!

Gary & Vanessa spoil us rotten!

Santa came!

All those presents, a new tv, playhouse and air hockey table!

How did Santa get that down the chimney?

Haylee with her Christmas morning hair-do! She loves her cardboard color house.

Carter got what he wanted most...Super Mario Bros. for the Wii...he could still play it for 10 hours straight and love it. Me? I don't love it so much.

Santa brought Haylee a piggy pillow pet and she loves it so much...carries it around the house with her everywhere.

Christmas morning mess!

Haylee got a travel aqua doodle from Grandma & Grandpa. Great toy!

When we got to Georgia, all the family came over for some yummy dinner and gift unwrapping! Carter and Olivia got rollerblades from Grammy & Papa. Carter loved rollerblading on the carpet.

We had a few intense games of Ticket To Ride.

(Justin getting ready to go to work while playing :)

We met up with the Dodson's one afternoon for lunch and bowling. Trent (not pictured) is one of Aaron's best friends from High School. We love the Dodson family! I have no doubt that if we lived closer, we would get together very often.

Carter's Bop-It made it to Georgia with us and gave everyone a good challege while sitting around and visiting.

Haylee was in love with her Papa. She asked for him from the moment her eyes opened for the morning.

Carter thought he was pretty cool stuff to be holding one of Bella's turtles.

Olivia playing Just Dance on the Kinect with the cousins.

We had gorgeous weather while we were there!

All the kids put on a Christmas play for us...their own version of the Nativity.

Sweet Savannah helping Haylee out.

Uncle Jason being silly.

He couldn't ever beat Aaron's record ;)

Natalie dipping her vanilla wafer in ketchup!

Checking out the hot sauce that Jason & Diana brought us back from Mexico.

Very hot!

Can't remember the full name of this game (Catan?), but it was fun to play with everyone.

On our last day there, we went to visit Papa Bill. All the cousins spent a lot of time outside gathering pecans that had fallen from his trees. I still need to crack those!

After working up an appetite, we all walked down to one of Papa Bill's favorite places to eat...

We were a large group to feed! Good thing they had "the best salad bar north of Atlanta!"

Back Row: Braden, Bella, Haylee, Savannah

Middle: Olivia, Hannah, Madison, Lincoln

In Papa Bill's lap: Natalie & Carter

After leaving Papa Bill's house, we stopped by Aaron's grandma's gravesite, which I had never seen before.

Carter & Olivia outside of the church building where her memorial services were held. It's been told that the building wasn't big enough to hold all the people that came to Betty's services.

On the way back to Grammy & Papa's house...tired kids.

(No, Carter isn't in a headlock. Aaron's arm was acting as a pillow until Carter's head got too hot. hehe)

Haylee zonked out.

Our last night in Georgia, Aaron's family talked him into playing Quelf. I think he still wishes he hadn't played.

Carter & Olivia shared a bed while we were in Georgia and did surprisingly well. I went in to wake them up the morning we were leaving for Ohio and found them both laying sideways on the bed. So cute.

We had a great Christmas vacation with lots of fun memories to stay with us until our next visit! Thank You Lunt Family!
