February 2015

Not a whole lot happened in February.  But here's a few pics!

Ryan is really good at copying your facial expressions if you do it with a screen so he can see himself, like in a mirror.

Found this picture of Olivia and am reminded that she is becoming a pre-teen!

Ryan makes us laugh overtime he makes this crazy face.  And he does it a lot.

Annual Valentine sugar cookies!  Hayley hovers around the candy as usual.

A big snow storm in February left us with perfect snow for an igloo

January 2015

So it's actually March 1st and I totally changed the date on this to read February 1st so that it doesn't look like I'm actually more than a month behind on blogging!  I will get caught up this month!

Memory is fading, but it looks like January had a warm enough day in there to play outside!  Haylee must have been soaking up the sun!

Haylee loves this little yellow chair and will carry it all the way back to her bedroom and put it up on her bed so she can have it in her comfort zone.

Ryan gave me the gift of getting to fold a load of whites twice!  Thanks for clearing my bed off for me buddy.

I try to host playgroup on a regular basis for a group of church friends and their kids.  We mostly just send the kids to the basement to play while we chat upstairs.  Of all the times I've hosted playgroup, I never saw it this messy before!  Literally every toy was on the floor.  Someone was just into being messy rather than actually playing.

Took a while, but I got it cleaned up.  Phew!  Makes me glad I don't have to host for another month.

I took this picture of my breakfast one morning when I was missing what I used to have for breakfast.  It used to be cinnamon toast and chocolate milk.  Now it's regular toast and a spinach, flax, greek yogurt and fruit smoothie.  Oh how things change!

Olivia turned 11!!!!!!!!  I can hardly believe it!  She picked her chocolate cake with a ganache topping.

She wanted nail stamps so bad since she is into painting her nails super fancy at least weekly.  That nail stamper turned out to be pretty fun.

Instead of a birthday party this year, Olivia opted to take a friend to see the mummy Omnimax movie and exhibit going on at our local museum.

They loved it!  We couldn't take photos while in the exhibit as it was all the real deal.  We enjoyed going around and reading about the mummification process and where certain mummies were from and who they were.  It was a bit creepy, but nothing that scared this crew.  So glad Connor could join us.  We hit Wendy's for lunch on the way there and then Orange Leaf for ice cream on the way home. It was a busy day!

Carter started working on his pinewood derby car with Aaron.  Those were some cold times in the garage.

Carter picked the design to paint on it...puzzle pieces for autism awareness.  He was pretty proud of it and I was too.  Apparently he mentioned it several times to his scout leaders of how his car was for autism and so he got the "helping us all be aware" award for his car.

This is one of Ryan's most favorite toy.  We have had it since Olivia was a little one and it finally gave out on kid #4.  Probably because he fills it with toast and spoons instead of balls.  We did recover another one from the thrift store though!

Hayley came to me and wanted to Go one day in January!  She even took me to the closet so I could get her jacket out and put it on her.  I proceeded to put my coat on her and she was only amused for 30 seconds.

Olivia and I on our first time sledding at Perfect North slopes in Indiana.

GE had a family day at Perfect North ski and tubing resort.  The kids had a blast sledding down and then riding the longest treadmill ever back to the top.

I filled up the van the other day and I think this was the cheapest I've ever filled up for and so I had to document it!

Lara Shadowens helped me put these Jamberry nails on.  They stayed on for 10 days and I was okay with that :)

Ryan has learned to climb on the table and while I don't like that, I love that he's able to!

The video to this picture is much better!  Ryan playing Zelda :)
