Busy! Busy! Busy! Things have been super busy around here, but we're still having fun!
Carter loves to occasionally stand at a sink full of sudsy water and do dishes. (Don't worry, I do put them through the dishwasher when he's done.) I love that he thinks he's helping me. Well, I guess he is helping me, but it's by keeping himself occupied. We are sporting some nice home decor lately. Sour Cream and Whipped Cream cheese container lids help keep my little munchkin from changing the channel, volume, color, etc on the TV. I tried talking Aaron into a new TV, but I guess the high-class home decor will have to do for now :)
Discovering that Haylee LOVES apples was such a treat! They keep her occupied for a long time and they are great for the shopping cart!
The highlight of my November was definitely when my little sister came to visit!
It was so fun to have her here for a week and also to meet and get to know her fiance, Daniel, too.
The down side is that I hardly took any pictures...none of Daniel. Don't worry though, if you are invited to the wedding reception in January, you'll surely be seeing LOTS of pictures of the lovely couple! Daniel got to come to Fairfield and spend Thanksgiving with us because his mom actually lives just a few blocks from our house. It's such a great set-up!
We shopped a lot. And then we shopped a lot more. Black Friday equals 12 hours of shopping! So fun! Highlight of that shopping day was when someone asked us if we were twins! Felt bad for Shellee, but it made my day!
My little Haylee bug LOVES the vacuum. In fact, she loves it so much that it's nearly impossible to get any vacuuming done because she always has to be right in front of it when I am trying to clean.
Haylee also loves her thumb. This is how she always sucks though...with her fingers on her cheek.
GE put on a pretty great "Breakfast with Santa" this year. Not only did I find the food great, but they had an entertaining puppet show. Olivia and Carter got balloon reindeer. Oh, and that pink deflated balloon that Olivia is holding? It's a balloon worm ;)
Carter got to perform at our city's celebration earlier this month too. He was in a Children's Choir class and so they sang a few songs. He refused to practice any of the songs at home and so I was surprised when he performed that he seemed to know all the songs quite good.
Annual gingerbread houses. Such a mess! But the kids love it.
Carter spent hours last week making tunnels with the couch cushions. I know this doesn't seem like a big deal, but we haven't played with the couch cushions in a very long time and so it was a fun treat for him while Olivia was at school!
One of my recent "decor" changes...this makes my kitchen more functional by replacing a frame and other decor with these awesome big glass jars! Now making bread is even easier!
I just love this little girl so much! She's still not walking, but it will come.
