Spring Surprises

Aaron and I have been working in the yard quite a bit the last few weeks. We are still kicking ourselves for not taking before pictures when we first moved in last year. Aaron removed nine trees last year and mowed over LOTS of flowers (I didn't communicate my mowing directions to him very good...but I'm over it now.) Anyhow, we have been able to enjoy some of what our yard has left to offer this time of year. I have certainly enjoyed looking out my window countless times per day to view all the pretty blossoms on this:

Our crab-apple tree. The kids now like to pretend it's snowing with all the blossoms that have fallen to the ground.

From my front porch.

These tulips were safe from the mower because they were nestled behind a bush. I had no idea that I had any tulips until this spring. They have been fun to watch open and close every day. I wonder if the iris' that are about to bloom will be as much fun.

I'm still surprised that this little princess LOVES worms.

Olivia surprised me by wanting to be a witch again...six months before Halloween! She loved painting her hand green a few different times this week.

Daddy's little helper!
Carter has to be digging, mowing, raking or whatever else we are trying to accomplish in the yard. He's a hard worker!

Singin' at the Mall

Olivia is in heaven to have an audience of more than two!

And to have Connor singing next to her.

SOLD!

Good-bye my green machine! You've served me so kindly for over eleven years, but now my minivan needs to be paid off.

Thanks for all the fun times!

I hope this Dave guy takes good care of you!

ps Aaron will miss you just as much.

Kentucky's Climax

Last weekend Aaron attended an overnighter with the scouts in Kentucky. They also got to go caving in Climax Cave. They only cave I remember being in is Timpanogos Cave, so I loved hearing all about this adventure.
Aaron was so glad I bought him that headlamp. I like buying him things - I rarely do that anymore.

I think all the darkness along with the bats, spiders and other creatures in there would have made my skin crawl.

(Aaron ended up with two bags - one being the 1st aid stuff.)

I had to do his laundry after this!

"No, you can't kill a bat Cody!"

Troop 948 made it through!

Worms, icecream & muscle shirts

Yes! We got our first full week of spring weather! It was a wonderful thing!

We found out that Olivia has a love for worms. She spent hours this week digging for them and even named the first one she found, Dolly.

Olivia has also been learning a new song. Sing these lyrics to the melody of "Nobody likes me, Everbody hates me, I'm gonna eat some worms."

Everybody wants one, Everybody needs one,

Everybody loves a hug!

Big hugs, little hugs, even itty bitty hugs,

Hugs for everyone!

Aaron found this scene as he was getting ready for work. Olivia was feeding Carter her cereal and he loved it!

I guess I was taking too long preparing lunch and so Carter just decided to have a little appetizer. Cucumbers are one of his favorites. I personally like his 'guns' though.
We love you, spring! Please stay for as long as possible!
