Wrapping up the month of August!

This week has gone good. My only complaint is that Aaron's school problems are too hard! Aaron is such a trooper! He stays up really late every night to try and figure out and finish his homework. I think that I would be close to giving up and it's only four weeks into the course. Actually, this blog keeps him updated as much as it does the rest of ya'll!
Carter is a very good baby. It is very nice that he still sleeps so much. He seems to do okay at night time also - I have only had a handful of 'rough' nights.
Olivia is such a doll. We have only been outside two times to play since Carter has been born and she doesn't seem to mind. She seems quite content with the change of our schedule and not getting out of the house every day like we used to. She loves her Disney movies, reading and playing dress up. Check out her latest book that she is trying to conquer -

It's going to be difficult to do with it upside down!

She has asked me several times to read this to her for her bedtime story - Uhm...I don't think so!

When her other princess dresses (aka pink and purple nightgowns) are dirty, she resorts to this Cinderella dress. It's plan B because it makes her itch a bit.

Fall is just around the corner! Olivia popped some bubbles yesterday on the back porch - meanwhile, I got eaten by the mosquitos.

Look at those lips!

Today was the last play group at the park and so I made a real effort to be there. We ended up staying at the park for 2 hours (that is quite awhile for me). Olivia fussed when we had to leave.

Carter seemed to enjoy being outside also - his first time spending time outdoors.

Papa smurf! A much cuter version though:)

Grammy & Papa

Kirk & Vicki visited this past weekend to spend time with Olivia and meet Carter. Olivia really enjoyed their visit and especially being read to so much (and 'reading' to them). I appreciated the help with babysitting (gave me time to put on make-up & do my hair for a few days:). We even all went to Sacrament meeting on Sunday. Carter lost everything in his belly during the Sacrament hymn though and so Vicki and I missed out on the most important part of the meeting (We were in the ladies room trying to wipe up the mess). I continue to be blessed with wonderful family! Carter is a very good baby and Olivia is still my sweet girl! Aaron keeps very busy with work and school, but still squeezes in family time.

My friend, Katie, sent these cute bows for Olivia. They are adorable! She sells them on Ebay & here is my plug for her - http://search.ebay.com/_W0QQsassZmyprincessbowtique06

Olivia was 'dancing' with Carter while he was in his swing.

I think Carter enjoyed it.

Here are some newer pictures of Carter - they change day by day when they are so little!

He had just gotten a bath and I love his curly hair when it's been wet (reminds me of my dad's).

Vicki brought me copies of the latest Lunt family photos.
This is Justin (Aaron's younger brother), Cheril, Madison (2 yrs) and Hannah (9 months).

This is Jason's family (Aaron's older brother)...Jason, Diana, Bella (7 yrs), Savannah (5 yrs), Braden (2 yrs), & Lincoln (7 months).
What great family pictures! I look forward to getting some of our own in the next couple of months!

Thanks Mom!

My mom just left Cincinnati yesterday after spending two weeks with us. This last week was the most important as I didn't do any laundry or cook any meals (well - except Aaron's birthday dinner)! It has made this post partum experience much easier. I think I also got a lesson from when I had Olivia to accept help this go around. Aaron had EEDP orientation bootcamp this past week also and that required him to be gone all day - usually until around 7pm. I would have truly gone crazy if my mom hadn't been here! It was very hard to say good bye to my mom yesterday, but I knew it was time that she get back to her mom duties and that I get started with my NEW mom duties. Thanks again Mom for EVERYTHING!
Now here are more pics.

Aaron snuggling with his kids. (Olivia doesn't always wear jammies all day - these silky nightgowns that she always has on are actually her 'princess dresses' and she asks to wear them from the time she rolls out of bed every morning.)

Does it get any sweeter than this?
Aaron really is a super dad with work, school and family:)

Speaking of sweet...Olivia licking the beater (she calls it a sucker) after mixing Aaron's birthday cake.

The 9 candles are actually 2 + 7 (get it?)

HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY AARON!

Aaron probably thought that he had gotten away with hardly any recognition of his special day! Well - his wife is just a day late this year! Aaron turned the big 27 yesterday and since he was gone nearly all day to his EEDP boot camp, we'll be having our small celebration today! We love you Aaron and are so proud of all you have accomplished this past year! Even Carter is giving you his version of 'raise the roof'!

Olivia is learning to play so good by herself!

She loves to give her brother lots of kisses throughout the day.

Carter already likes the same movies that Olivia likes.

Olivia is playing doctor and giving Carter his shot (this is after I really did take Carter for his first checkup).

Olivia woke up before Carter on Wednesday and wanted to know where he was - I found her admiring him a few minutes later.

My first time getting all cleaned up since Carter was born:) A momentous occasion:)

This is the snap shot of a smile in the making - he really does smile a lot already!

Carter Henry Lunt

He's finally here!

Due July 28th and born seven days later. I had my OB check up on Wednesday and it was then decided to induce me the following day. I'm glad because the time that my mom would be here was getting shorter and shorter. Plus, I was very ready to have this little guy out of my belly. After a big lunch at CiCi's pizza, Aaron and I went to the hospital at 2pm on Thursday, August 3rd. They started me on pitocin shortly after. Darn that back labor - it got me again! I'm not even sure that my epidural took very good because I acted like one of those ladies you see on TV that didn't get any drugs. Aaron even told me I needed to pull a Katie Holmes and let our baby come with no yelling...haha! Anyhow, I did it! I mean, WE did it! Aaron was a huge support and held my hand the whole way through it all. Olivia only weighed in at 7 lbs 9 oz and so maybe that is why this birth was much more difficult. Our little guy seems happy and healthy! The pedicatrician even said there are no signs of hip dysplasia! Hooray! Enjoy the pictures - dating back to August 1st!

Olivia loved this firecracker popsicle - it stained her face for a day or two.

She loves her new Dora jammies.

My mom brought Olivia over to the hospital after her nap on Thursday before my labor got too bad.

Here he is! (He still has antibiotic in his eyes)
Compared to the previous picture, I look a little 'deflated', don't I?

Before he's taken his first bath.

Olivia marched right in the hospital room on Friday looking around for her new baby brother. It was love at first sight!!!

Daddy gave Olivia a few instructions on how to handle this little bundle.

I can hardly believe that we are a family of 4!

I'm able to smile because this recovery seems to be going so much better than Olivia's did!

Carter loves his daddy!

He loved his first car ride. Even though he was hungry before we left the hospital and we decided to wait until we got home to feed him, he still fell asleep - maybe it's the new minivan:)

Olivia kept her eyes on him the whole way home.

We got home today just after lunchtime - it's so nice to be here!

Olivia had an exhausting day too.

Wide eyed!

Olivia is showing Carter the picture she colored for him. She was happy to see him looking at it.

Well, we're happy to be home! We asked Olivia if she wanted to return Carter to the hospital and she gave us a very firm 'NO'!
Aaron starts A-course next week and has been told to plan on being gone until 9pm every night. Aaron actually had to miss his first class on Friday morning.
I feel very blessed right now! My mom is a huge help right now and has taken over my 'chores' and I have a happy, healthy family! What more could a girl want?
ps I'll post some videos at a later date - I need to go to bed!
