Lunt family vacation in the Smoky Mountains

Jason and Diana arranged for us all to get together for five days at a cabin in Seiverville, Tennessee (near Pigeon Forge).  The cabin was way up in the mountain and was a great get away.  The cousins had a blast spending all that time together!

How all the kids spent every night.  This was Carter and Olivia's first (kind of) sleepover and even though they were a bit sleep deprived most of the trip, they did great.

The cabin had a hot tub and the cousins had a blast hanging out in it all together.

We spent one day in Gatlinburg just looking around and doing a few things.

We did some miniature golf in Gatlinburg.  A great way to escape the sun for a bit.

One day we woke up extra early and went to Cade's Cove.  The road is closed for a few hours to vehicles and so we were able to do a 3+mile walk.  This little creek was fun for us all to cross.

The whole gang (minus Kirk and Vicki who stayed back to get some sleep) walking through Cade's Cove.

The Lunt cousins in Cade's Cove.

Ice cream Sundae's for breakfast?  Yes!  And don't tell Aunt Diana that I wasn't joking when I suggested this.

Our last night we took in a family comedy show that was great!

The kids got to go up on stage and dance.

Carter even got into it after a bit.

Saying good bye was rough on our little Olivia, but luckily she was fine once we hit the road for Ohio.  She LOVES her cousins.

End of the school year 2012

Teacher gifts for the end of the school year.  I was pretty excited with how they turned out.  I did some popcorn, a little bottle of rootbeer and some mini candy bars along with some movie tickets for a nice, local theater.

Carter really enjoyed racing the bus every afternoon to the bus stop (to pick up Olivia).  He even had several of the kids on the bus that would cheer him on from their windows.

Olivia and her awards from 2nd grade.  She got the attendance award for only missing a 1/2 day of school this year and the Golden Apple award for her love of learning.

Olivia took a tap and jazz dance class this spring and she loved it.  The recital was adorable!

Zoo Day

Aaron's department at GE had a family day at the zoo and it was great!  The weather was perfect and lunch was provided.  We all had a great time and were exhausted by the end of the day.

We got to see lots of zoo babies, including this mama camel with her little baby.

My monkeys looking at the zoo monkeys.

These monkeys were busy swinging in the trees.

The baby penguins were adorable.

Haylee LOVED feeding the goats.

She could have done this for awhile, she thought it was the best.

The goat may have nibbled on her finger a little bit here.

Breaking for some popsicles at the GE pavilion.

My kids love riding the Merry-Go-Round.

Whoa Mr. Snake...where ya goin' there?

This turtle will live outlive us by a long shot.  Another zoo baby.

We had fun watching the cougar pace back and forth.

Haylee growled at him everytime he walked by and it was so funny to watch.

Olivia is a heavy weight.
