March 2014

Lots of pictures!  And they aren't in order...

Olivia was in the Wizard of Oz production last month and apparently she played around with her iPod backstage.

Aaron painting our ceiling pink!

I hosted a baby shower in October and these were the invites.  I thought they turned out cute.

Right of the fireplace is our new wall color and the left of the fireplace is our old paint color.  We love the greige walls.

I've been on the hunt for new wall decor since we painted.  I found this large magnolia print that reminded me of Grandma Johnson's painting she had on her mantle for years.

So I bought it, had Aaron cut it up for me and it is now displayed on my wall in this pattern.

Remember that big snow storm we had in February?  Well, there is still snow on the ground, but on this day, it was warm enough to play outside with no jacket.

I was so excited to get a new stroller that fits Haylee and Ryan.  It's our first new stroller in 11 years!

I got to redo our mantle with our paint job.  The green poofs were for the baby shower, but I ordered a new temple picture and put it in a reclaimed wood frame.

More new home decor.  I've been watching a lot of Fixer Upper lately and love Joanna's style with the whites and distressed look.

Pretty sure I have a picture of Haylee on this swing from a year or two ago.  The moon swing is a hit and it's a workout!

Fine motor skills...making cookies.

We learned a few weeks ago that the Hales family will be moving this summer.  It's going to be a tough move as they all play together so much!

I found Ryan like this one morning when he wasn't feeling good.  Poor guy.

Carter and Olivia built quite the yogurt cup castle.

Aaron was gone for 10 days in March.  We are grateful for FaceTime.

While Aaron was away, I had some friends over for a game night.  Corrie, Heather, Lian, Sarah and Allison

My mom and dad bought Aaron and I a blendtec for our birthdays this year.  We make smoothies on a daily basis and this thing does a much better job than that old Osterizer that is dead to me now ;)

Olivia got invited to a special breakfast for making the honor roll at school.  I wasn't able to make it since Aaron was out of town, but I got a text from a stranger with three pictures of Olivia.  I thought that was SO nice of someone to do that for me.

I love this big mirror I got to replace my quilts.

I am working on reshaping my brows.  This is a big deal for me as I've never cared for my brows.  They are struggling to fill in the middle, but the rest is looking okay.  I did go to a professional this time.

Olivia's production of The Wizard of Oz was this past weekend.  It was great!

Olivia got to play a jitterbug, lullaby league tot and winged monkey.  She was also part of the tornado.  It's always so nice when Vanessa and Kasey come to support her.

Olivia loves to be on stage and I'm so glad she's found something she loves.

Ryan is loving this green phone lately and we often hum to the songs together.  It's so fun to hear him hum a tune.  Hopefully they'll be words someday!

More mimicking facial expressions!

I'm not supposed to take pictures during the play and so this is the only one I got at the end.  Olivia is on the top.

Grammy & Papa came to see Olivia in her play.  It was a surprise and Carter and Olivia loved having them here.  Family home evening game.

Since it's Spring Break, we took the kids to Entertainment Junction for some fun.

Papa was teaching Carter and Olivia the real rules to ping pong since he used to be a gym teacher.  He made a good referee since Carter and Olivia seemed to have a few disagreements during their time playing this.

More train fun at Entertainment Junction

Aaron recently went to South Korea and Singapore for 10 days.  I believe this was one of his meals in South Korea.  He was only in that country for about 24 hours.

Since he was in Singapore over a weekend, he went for a very long walk and did some touring.  He went to the top of that building behind him that looks like a ship supported by three high rises.

View from the top.  The shells are botanical gardens that Aaron said were pretty neat.  The barges out in the ocean were pretty cool too.

He even got to go to church there.  He even knew a few people there!  It's a small LDS world.

Olivia and her best friend, Connor.  They were both in the play and loved the time together.

This was the baby shower that I hosted for Lian.  It was a fun bunch!
