December 2013

This little guy LOVES the vacuum.  I can't get the job done anymore without Aaron home to hold him back from getting right in my path.

Traditional gingerbread house.

Ryan also LOVES to see what Haylee is playing on the ipad at all times.  Haylee HATES it.

Can you tell?

Olivia ready to perform with her singing group from school...the Westernaires.
She had a holiday performance at school.

Her first book report.  Cereal box book report.  She was excited that her's got chosen to be put in the display case at school.

Christmas morning

Christmas morning

Olivia's #1 thing on her list - karaoke.

Carter's #1 thing on his list - bow & arrows.
Haylee & Ryan's big thing was the slide.

Aaron teaching Carter how to play Risk - a new game they got for Christmas.

Maybe there is hope for Carter and Lego's.  I guess he just needed a real set with a booklet to follow.
His bald eagle.

Carter and Olivia got loads of more bands for their Rainbow Loom for Christmas.  That is definitely the most used toy at our house.

Working on their latch hook projects they got for Christmas.

Grammy & Papa arrived the day after Christmas and they brought 3 Christmas surprises with them!  Cousins!

Of course, what would a cousin get together be without a performance?

Bella was the host and also had a special number at the end.

So glad these girls came to play with us over Christmas break.

One of my favorite things about the Christmas holiday is my wall of Christmas cards.
One of my favorite Christmas books.

We still read a Christmas book every night together December 1st through the 24th.  Our stack is growing that we actually own now.

Aaron took Carter and Olivia to see the Wizards (a local rendition of the Harlem Globe trotters).
They obviously got there too early.

Olivia & Carter found it very entertaining and fun.

Don't ask.

At our ward Christmas party.

hahaha

Ryan loves egg nog.

first bow tie in our family.  Ryan rocked it well.

Aaron had a work event at a painting studio and came home with this!  Yep, he's an artist!

Haylee's class built ginger bread houses.  She wasn't really into it, but we tried.  That is Haylee and her teacher, Miss Kim, on the right.

Busy November!

On November 14th, I was able to throw a shower for my neighbor and friend, Sarah.  Sarah had her 4th little girl on Nov. 30th.
This was a pedicure party, so I gave her and three others a pedicure.  Many other women just opted to paint their nails.

Heather Anderson helped me out and made these awesome cheesecakes for the shower.  They were divine!

Heather Richards helping to hand out the cake.

painting nails!

Num, num, num.

Yum, Yum, Yum.

Two of my best friends - Heather's!
On Nov. 16th, it was Super Saturday!

Vanessa helped me this year and insisted that Olivia come to the church to hang out with her.
Then on Nov. 28th, I got to host Thanksgiving for a few families.  Jake loved Haylee's ipad.

craft-flop.  I had visions of all the children (all 10 - that would be able to) sitting around and making this craft, but instead only a couple were interested.  And that interest didn't last long.  Oh well.

Aaron got to go shooting with a friend a few weeks ago.  Aaron was proud of his target, which is on the left.
We took the kids bowling as our Thanksgiving weekend came to an end.  Haylee really enjoyed it.  She had a smile on her face with each bowl.

Olivia & Carter had fun bowling too.
Aaron beat me in the 10th frame!

Happy Birthday to Ryan!!!

I was snapping lots of pictures with him and he didn't like the flash.  This time, she squinted tight before the flash even went off.
