September & October 2014

When we go for walks around the neighborhood, Ryan prefers to not ride in the stroller.  But he does love to hold onto it and walk.  Pretty sure he thinks he's pushing it.

Oh no!  He's finally tall enough!

Ryan loves to play peek-a-boo with his plates.  He often dumps his toast off onto the floor to play this with me.

Haylee's school pics.

Olivia is getting really creative when it comes to painting her nails.  She dipped these in water that had a little nail polish on top and got these designs.

Haylee dressed as my rag muffin, but enjoying the day outside as she waits for our neighbors dogs to come and excite her.

Olivia loves to do my hair and I'm totally cool with that!

Trying to remember how Ryan got all dinged up by his eye....???  Oh my memory!

This was hilarious!  Can you tell by Carter's face?

We told Aaron that he had to play Carter with his feet to make it more of a fair game.  Only it wasn't fair because Aaron had us all in stitches!

Haylee climbed in on top of a bin of clean clothes and played her iPad there for quite some time.

Oh the joys of letting your child learn to feed them self.

I often put the food on his try and leave the room so I don't have anxiety about the mess until it's all over.

Apparently Ryan wanted Olivia's melted icee pop.

not successful.

This was so cute to watch him try and play with her while she snoozed away.

Our first success with watermelon in the garden!

Olivia, Carter, Haylee and Aaron on the log ride at Kings Island.

Ryan and I protected our stroller goods.  We are a classy bunch around Kings Island as Ryan watches his poo and pee app that try and teach him to go potty.

This was probably Haylee's favorite ride.
Though it took her a few circles of it to get used to being whipped around the corners.

Aaron had to leave our Kings Island day early to catch a flight to Wales.  I stayed awhile longer with these four monkeys.

I'd say the day was successful!

Ryan's favorite was when I let him run free from the stroller.

This is one of my favorite things...Ryan will bring his favorite blanket (this brown one) to me and hold it while he kind of rocks.  This means he wants to me do my little "Oh, it's a blanky" saying to him as I wrap him up in it and then he tries to run around with it on his neck.

I rarely comb Ryan's hair because he always has to "fix" it when I'm done.

Carter finished another season of Fall soccer.  Coach Kevin has coached Carter a few times (in basketball too) and he's great.

Carter is now signed up for wrestling.  He was pretty excited to try on his singlet.

Justin, Aaron's brother, was in his patrol car when it was hit by a distracted driver.  We are so lucky he's still with us.

Karen Williams took Heather Richards and I to eat at the Golden Lamb in Lebanon.  Good times.

Clarissa Stratton and I went to the temple a few weeks ago and Sarah Hales was there with her friend, Brittany!  It's two hours from home so it's always fun to see your neighbor there unexpectedly.

Ryan has LOVED the Cosby's Halloween decorations this year.

Meaning, we have visited these two dogs, Bones and Skelly, almost everyday.

Ryan pets them, pokes their eyes and

tries to feed them leaves.  They aren't fans of leaves, but don't seem to mind the finger in their eye socket.  We will miss these dogs until next year.

Yearly Tradition!

Brown Family Farm!

Ah ha!  Caught Haylee looking at the camera!

Ryan didn't think this "stand in one spot" business was fun.

Where is the rest of the family?  Who knows because we've wandered off.

Haylee seemed to enjoy the corn maze.

Oh there they are!

The kids always pick out a pumpkin at the farm and come home to start carving!

Aaron's carving, ET

Carter's carving (it's a dragon head and claw)

Olivia's carving...Olaf from the movie, Frozen

Carter with his Den Leader, Jessica Martin at our ward Trunk or Treat.

Carter as Squanto

Haylee as Dorothy.

Ryan was supposed to be the Cowardly Lion, but he refused to wear his lion mane or the green crown.  So I asked Olivia to hover them over his head for a pic.  This was the best we could get.

So glad that Corrie got a good picture of Haylee at the Trunk or Treat because this was the best I could get of Haylee.  She did have red shoes on though.  We were all bundled up for the cold night of Trick or treating.

Carter carried a bow and arrow on his back.

Carter was all bundled up under his costume.

Olivia as Sacajawea.  She was all bundled up under her costume too.

Livy Lou's papoose.

Oh my gosh Shayleen! Some of those px make me LOL! I love the one of Ryan after he "fixed" his hair. You are so right-some things are not worth bothering with!! Aaron playing tetherball with his feet--too funny! Miss your sweet family--wish we were coming, too, for Thanksgiving!
