Blue is Beautiful

This past Saturday, Aaron and I got something that we've been wanting for quite some time...55-gallon water drums! Wahoo! I think they are so exciting to me because they give me some peace of mind.

Now can anyone tell me how often we need to change the water in them?

Before filling up the barrels to make another half ton of goods stored in our basement, Aaron made several of these pallets to store things on. (Man, that miter saw is coming in so handy ;)

On a heavier note...

I still haven't finished potty training Carter.

Tell Aaron when you guys come out to bring his saw with him, we have lots of things for him to use it on here! As for the water, it should store indefinitely if you put bleach in it. I think it's like 16 drops per gallon?? You can look it up, I'm sure. Love the underwear on the head look...definite bribe pic for later!

Tell Aaron I'm impressed with his skills with the saw!! Good job. When he comes in Dec. he can make some for his Mom. hehehe! :-)

You guys are doing sooo good in the emergency preparedness department. I'm so proud of you! Good example for the rest of us.

Love the picture of the Carter wearing his underwear ON his HEAD not his bum!

Wonder how many years Aaron will be able to carry Olivia around in that backpack? Cute pic!

Love,

Vicki/Mom/Grammy

You are so good with your food storage prep. I wish we had a house big enough for all the storage. Someday.

Oh how you have to love those big blue barrels...we have several adorning our back yard. I love the new look. Congratulation on your 3 years of blogging...I've only been on for about a year and a half.

Now I know where to go for water...Are Aaron's skills available for hire?
PS. I can't stand Christina Aguilera, if I want to listen to someone screaming I'll... well I never want to hear someone screaming. :)

I'm sorry, but that picture of Carter is so, so perfect. He is such a cutie. And way to go Aaron for building palettes. I can't wait to see the shelves when they're done. Yay for food storage. Impressive
